The Uninvited

What kind of evil lives at the Union Screaming House? Steven LaChance reveals how he and his three children were driven from their Union, Missouri home by demonic attackers. LaChance chronicles how the house's relentless supernatural predators infested those around them. He consults paranormal investigators, psychics, and priests, but the demonic attacks―screams, growls, putrid odors, invisible shoves, bites, and other physical violations―only grow worse. The entities clearly demonstrate their wrath and power: killing family pets, sexually assaulting individuals, even causing two people to be institutionalized. Selected as one of the Best Books of 2008 by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The horrifying Union Screaming House haunting saga continues.Living with a paranormal storm looming on the horizon, constantly feeling the darkness trying to penetrate his soul, Steven LaChance has discovered that the aftershocks of a demonic possession can be more dangerous than the initial haunting itself. Marked by the supernatural trauma inflicted by the Union Screaming House―as chronicled in his first book, The Uninvited―Steven and his family find that no matter where they move, no matter what they do, they are still vulnerable to otherworldly attacks. This special edition will feature new material and a 156-page analysis of the haunting by the Roman Catholic Church.

Crazy, A Prayer for the Dead

Based on his 2010 Truck Stop Hell short story, Steven delivers one of the scariest stories he has ever told. Crazy, A Prayer for the Dead, surrounds a group of misfits who find themselves stuck in their own version of Hell within an old truck stop on Route 66. Years later, paranormal investigators are brought to the location and uncover the truth and horror of the souls damned within. The book is based upon, and inspired by, an actual paranormal case led by Steven LaChance in 2006. Steven weaves a story about one night of horror and its aftermath using historical fact, police reports, urban legend and actual psychic impressions and findings from the real-life paranormal investigation. When these elements are brought together they profile a story which will terrify and haunt you long after you put it down.

Confrontation with Evil

Known as the 1949 St. Louis Exorcism, the story of a possessed boy was immortalized in the groundbreaking novel and film, The Exorcist. Much has been written about the case, but the truth has been shrouded in secrecy...until now. Join Steven  LaChance as he shares the shocking evidence for how a family's grief over the death of an aunt progressed into a full-blown demonic possession. While the conventional story is believed the young boy brought the demonic infestation upon himself, LaChance convincingly suggests an alternative interpretation and provides new insights into the nature of possession itself. The events of 1949 culminated in grueling exorcism rites, but the story doesn't end there as LaChance guides readers through the stunning aftermath that forever changed the Catholic church and the city of St. Louis.
